I wish this song was in our books so we would have all the parts.  Hopefully this file will play as an mp3.

Church,

As we prepare for our time (almost) together tomorrow, here is a song, attached, with a good thought.

It is number 833 in our book; but, is one we've never sung before.
In the future, when we are back to meeting together--and I pray for that day--I would like to lead this song.

It is very different from most of what we sing in that it has a far different rhythm than we are accustomed to.
In fact, it has two distinctly different rhythms between the verses and the refrain.

If you enjoy it and listen to it a few times--and perhaps, sing along, it should be less of a challenge when we finally sing it together.

Blessings,

Nick

Heavenly and Holy Father and Lord Jesus we come to you on behalf of the Correia family and ask for your intervention in the life of Jose.  Lord Jesus we plead for your healing hand to be at work in Jose's situation and that your peace and comfort be upon his family.  We place our faith and hope in your hands.
For it is in your most Holy and loving name we pray.

Church family,

Firstly, thank you for the emails and continued prayers for Jose and our family. We greatly appreciate your support and love.

Jose's liver enzyme levels have unfortunately still remained high and have not responded to the steroid infusions from last week. He saw his doctor at Yale on Thursday and he told us that they don't have any further treatment options and they are going to start the process to try and get him relisted for a 2nd liver transplant. This was obviously not what we were hoping for but I have continued to ask our Lord to guide us to whatever path is necessary to bring Jose to good health.

A dear friend in our congregation (looking at you, Marion Samaha!) reminded me to be specific in my prayers, so we appreciate you joining us in now praying for the following:

-Jose's enzyme levels to go down and to slow the progression of any damage to his current liver
-If a new transplant is necessary, for him to be given this gift and be successful
-For the giant cell hepatitis to go away and not return in a new liver
-For Jose's symptoms to improve, for him to be comforted and to have faith in our Lord
-For our dear Mason and Greighlyn
-For all of our peace of mind and faith
-For all of us! But especially those who need extra care at this time.. our immunocompromised, our elderly, those with chronic conditions... to remain healthy

Under "normal" circumstances, these uncertain times that we are ALL facing are extremely daunting and worrisome. Having our loving husband and father go through this struggle again, especially during this time, feels pretty overwhelming at times. We also have his 80 year old diabetic mother, whom lives with us, and doesn't speak English nor fully understand the health challenges that her son is facing. We are doing our best to stay positive, be mindful and prayerful.

We pray for all of you and your loved ones to stay healthy and faithful.

Much love and thanks,
Kelly, Jose, Mason and Greighlyn
